Bajrang Dal activists assault Muslim gym trainer in Indore; police jail victim despite no complaint from girl

Bajrang Dal activists in Indore allegedly thrashed a Muslim gym trainer who was travelling in a car with a girl.

The police later booked the trainer and sent him to jail on Tuesday, despite the girl not filing any complaint against him.

The incident occurred late Monday night in the Bhanwarkuan area of Indore.

The gym trainer, identified as Shadab Mansuri, was reportedly driving with a girl said to be a Hindu.

Several Bajrang Dal activists intercepted their car, dragged Shadab out, and assaulted him even as the girl pleaded with them to stop.

The assailants then took Shadab to the Juni Indore police station.

Bajrang Dal District Coordinator Vijay Kalkhor alleged that Shadab, who is married, was involved in “Love Jihad” and had been taking undue advantage of young women who attended the gym.

However, the girl accompanying Shadab refused to lodge any FIR against him.

Despite this, the police booked Shadab under preventive sections and sent him to jail on Tuesday.
